65 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age of =65 years, hospital admission for emergency surgical treatment of hip fracture, and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of I to III.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: preoperative delirium, Parkinsons disease, dementia (including dementia due to Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia), a stroke within a period of prior 6 months or other central nervous system disorders, multiple traumas, communication difficulties, severe hearing or vision impairment, alcohol abuse, shift to intensive care unit postoperatively, and unwillingness to participate in the study or unexpected discharge
