Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion criteria for schizophrenia patients: (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia in the International classification of mental and behavior disorders, 10th revision (ICD-10), patients were assessed by mini-SCID (structured clinical interview for patient); (2) Aged 16-55 years, right-handed; (3) The years of education >=6 years, can cooperate with the completion of the test of this study; (4) The patient's family members or legal guardians fully understand the content of this study and sign the informed consent. 2. Inclusion criteria of healthy control group: (1) The healthy control group (miniSCID for non-patient) confirmed the current mental health by interview evaluation; (2) No history of mental illness or family history of mental illness; (3) Aged 16-55 years old, right-handed; (4) Education years >=6 years, can cooperate with the completion of the tests in this study; (5) Subjects sign the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of using antibiotics, contraceptives, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, immunosuppressive drugs or hormone drugs within four weeks before enrollment; 2. History of other mental disorders (e.g., mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, substance dependence, mental retardation, etc.); 3. Hearing and visual impairment, unable to complete the test; 4. History of severe or chronic physical diseases (such as heart failure, thyroid dysfunction, chronic hepatitis, chronic kidney disease, peptic ulcer, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, metabolic disease history, tumor history, etc.); 5. Any drug, tobacco or alcohol addiction; 6. Pregnant or lactating patients; 7. History of head trauma or loss of consciousness >5 minutes; 8. Discovery of any major brain damage after MRI scan, including cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, or brain tumor; 9. There are contraindications to MRI scans, including metal implants and claustrophobia.
