Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (i) Aged equal to or over 65 years; (ii) General anasthesia and ASA II-?.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (i) The mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score of less than 24 or dementia; (ii) Preoperative delirium, history of neurological or mental illness; (iii) Current use of tranquilizers or antidepressants; (iv) Inability to communicate in the preoperative period (language barrier or severe hearing or visual impairment); (v) Alcohol or drug dependence; (vi) Needle phobia.
