Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnostic criteria: the presence of non-impacted third molars on both sides of the single jaw (N-M3), clinical diagnosis of chronic periodontitis stage I-III Inclusion criteria: 1. Age =18 years old 2. The M1 and M2 on both sides of the observation jaw position were intact 3. intention to remove N-M

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria 1. There were tumors, cysts and restorations in the target molar area 2. N-M3 teeth with curved roots could not be extracted directly 3. patients with unilateral chewing habit 4. lactating and pregnant women 5. history of systemic diseases
