Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with clinically confirmed type 2 diabetes according to WHO 1999 Diabetes Diagnostic Typing Criteria; 2. Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score = 50 years, voluntary participation in the study, signed informed consent form and approved by the hospital ethics committee.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with type 1 or other specific types of diabetes mellitus; patients with severe co-infections or acute complications of diabetes mellitus; 2. Patients with alcohol dependence and substance abuse; 3. Patients with comorbid psychiatric disorders such as depression, or those on long-term psychotropic medication; 4. Patients with conditions known to affect cognitive function, including acute and chronic cerebrovascular disease, neurodegenerative disease, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy and vascular dementia; 5. The presence of other endocrine and metabolic disorders, such as thyroid disease; 6. Patients with a combination of severe visual, hearing, speech or writing impairment unable to cooperate in completing cognitive function tests; 7. Patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment and haematological, immune system and cardiovascular disorders.
