Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients recruited in the ESSENTIAL trial (ChiCTR2100053359) within 6 hours; 2. Informed consent form obtained from the patient or next of kin.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. There are contraindications for muscle biopsy (severe coagulation disorders, local infections, irritability, inability to cooperate, etc.); 2. Patients expected to be discharged (dead/transferred) within 7 days of enrollment.
