Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. 35-65 years old, regardless of gender. 2. Carotid artery ultrasound showed that intima-media thickness (IMT) of carotid artery was greater than that of 1.0mm or was diagnosed as carotid plaque. 3. It accords with the syndrome standard of yang deficiency and blood stasis, spleen deficiency and phlegm obstruction in TCM. 4. Willing to take traditional Chinese medicine for a long time and sign the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have been diagnosed as atherosclerotic disease and diabetes, including coronary heart disease, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, renal artery stenosis, previous history of cerebral hemorrhage and so on. 2. Patients who take antiplatelet drugs, such as aspirin. 3. Patients with active ulcers and bleeding tendency, taking anticoagulants (such as warfarin) for a long time. 4. Patients with severe arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, liver and kidney dysfunction. 5. Patients with severe hypertension and poor blood pressure control (= 160/90mmHg). 6. Pregnant or lactating women. 7. Patients with severe mental illness who are unable to cooperate with treatment or affect the response to treatment. 8. Patients who participate in other clinical trials at the same time.
