Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Part I: 1. low cognitive group: (1) Meets diagnostic criteria for ischaemic stroke or haemorrhagic stroke. (2) Have a CDR score of 0.5 and a completely normal or mildly impaired ability to live and work. (3) Have the ability to walk independently. (4) Be male or female between the ages of 18 and 85 years. (5) Duration of ischaemic or haemorrhagic stroke between 1 and 6 months. (6) Patients signed an informed consent form and cooperated with the intervention. 2. Highly cognitive group: (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria for ischaemic stroke or haemorrhagic stroke. (2) Have a CDR score of 0 and a completely normal life and work capacity. (3) Ability to walk independently. (4) Male or female aged 18 to 85 years. (5) Duration of ischaemic or haemorrhagic stroke between 1 and 6 months. (6) Patients signed an informed consent and cooperated with the intervention. 3. Healthy group: (1) No organic neurological lesions. (2) CDR score of 0. (3) No disease affecting walking, such as osteoarthritis of the knee or ankylosing spondylitis. (4) Male or female aged between 18 and 85 years old. (5) Signed informed consent and co-operated with the intervention. Part II: As with the "Low Cognitive Group" in Part 1, participants will be randomised to the Cognitive Dual Task Group, the Acupuncture Group, and the Control Group.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Impairment of consciousness, severe visual, hearing, and speech impairments, and inability to complete other health assessments. 2. The presence of brain diseases of other nature (e.g., multiple sclerosis, brain tumors) and other diseases that restrict gait (e.g., fractures, amputations). 3. Cognitive impairment from other causes, such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) and dementia with Lewy bodies. 4. Accompanying medical conditions, such as depression, psychotic symptoms, and a history of alcohol, drug abuse, or dependence. 5. Failure to follow research procedures. 6. Aphasia or other disorders that affect pronunciation. 7. Complicated with tumors, serious diseases of organs and endocrine system.
