Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for ASD: 1) Diagnosed by development behavior pediatrician, meeting the diagnostic criteria of DSM-5 for autism spectrum disorder; 2) with autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS) positive; 3) 18-6 years old; 4) Both primary and secondary diagnosis are acceptable. Inclusion criteria for CON: 1) did not meet the diagnostic criteria of DSM-5 for all the mental diorders; 2) 18-6 years old; 3) Typical developing children; 4) Intelligence screening (ASQ or PPVT) or diagnostic developmental quotient (ECQ) assessment did not indicate developmental deviation; 5) Autism screening was negative (ABC scale).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for ASD: 1) other neurodevelopmental disorders, ADHD, tic disorder, speech disorder, specific learning disorder; 2) Other mental disorders: anxiety disorder, depression disorder, bipolar disorder, behavioral disorder, compulsive and related disorder, trauma and stress-related disorder, separation disorder, physical symptoms and related disorder, sleep-wake disorder, destructive, impulsive control and conduct disorder, and other mental disorders; 3) Organic diseases, such as epilepsy, short stature, congenital heart disease, enuresis, immune encephalitis, immune deficiency, etc; 4) Other syndromes with autism: Rett syndrome, fragile X syndrome; 5) Use nutritional supplements (except vitamin D) in the past 1 month, and have a history of drug use in the past 2 weeks. Exclusion criteria for CON: the same as those of ASD 1) to 5).
