Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: atients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, aged 18-80 years, who were hospitalized in the Department of Endocrinology of the Affiliated Hospital of Southeast University from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019, and met the diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes mellitus, i.e., the diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes mellitus proposed by the ADA in 2010, were selected as follows: (1) diabetic symptoms + plasma glucose level at any time = 11.1 mmol/L (200 mg/dl); or (2) fasting plasma glucose (FPG) level = 7.0 mmol/L (126 mg/dl); or (3) 2-hour postprandial glucose level = 11.1 mmol/L (200 mg/dl) in oral glucose tolerance test; or (4) glycated hemoglobin = 6.5%

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: (1) type 1 diabetes, gestational diabetes or other special types of diabetes; (2) patients with acute complications such as diabetic ketoacidosis and hyperosmolar coma; (3) patients with severe muscular and/or skeletal lesions of their own; (4) those with poor general underlying conditions, nutritional status or combined with severe heart, brain, kidney and lung diseases; (5) patients with severe abnormal liver and kidney function, thyroid (5) patients with severe liver and kidney function abnormalities, thyroid function abnormalities and other severe endocrine diseases; (6) patients with malignant tumors who have recently received radiotherapy or chemotherapy; (7) patients who cannot undergo Inbody testing, such as patients with pacemaker placement.
