Conditions

Venous Thromboembolism, VTE

Interventions

Gold Standard:Symptomatic VTE within 3 months after surgery, including symptomatic deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and symptomatic pulmonary embolism (PE), should be diagnosed according to symptoms and rel
Index test:Caprini risk assessment model. This model assigns different values to different potential risk factors and predicts the risk of VTE according to the total score.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Area under the ROC curve of Caprini score for predicting VTE after hip or knee arthroplasty;

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
the optimal cut-off value of Caprini score for predicting VTE after hip or knee arthroplasty;Sensitivity of Caprini score in predicting VTE after hip and knee arthroplasty;Specificity of Caprini score in predicting VTE after hip and knee replacement;Effects of different VTE prevention measures on the area under the ROC curve of Caprini thrombosis risk prediction;
