Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Meeting the diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes set by WHO in 1999; (2) Diagnostic criteria for DPN: a. The onset of neuropathy is not earlier than the diagnosis of diabetes; b. Clinical manifestations of pain, numbness and paresthesia; c. Abnormalities in the following 5 tests: ankle reflexes, vibration, pressure, temperature, acupuncture pain; (3) Right-handed; (4) At least 6 years of education; (5)18 years <= age <=70 years; (6) After outpatient evaluation, the lower extremity peripheral nerve decompression was performed to confirm the DPN, and the surgical treatment was agreed.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with type I diabetes mellitus; (2) Other possible causes of neuropathy, including neurotoxic drugs, heavy metal poisoning, alcohol abuse, vasculitis, hereditary neuropathy, chronic inflammatory demyelinating neuropathy, kidney disease, vitamin B12 deficiency, and spinal stenosis; (3) There are contraindications to MRI examination; If the body has metal implants, dentures, and claustrophobia; (4) History of serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents, peripheral nerve diseases, thyroid diseases, malignant tumors, and psychiatric diseases.
