Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This is an ambispective cohort study. We retrospectively enroll patients with spinal deformity for lumbar puncture from January 2022 to January 2023 and prospectively enrolled patients with spinal deformity for lumbar puncture from February to August in 2023. Patients with spinal deformity who are referred to the anesthesia department for lumbar puncture because of the expected difficulty in obtaining intrathecal access or undergoing surgery with spinal anesthesia or intrathecal morphine for pain management.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contraindications for lumbar puncture; Refusal to provide informed consent.
