Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: HCC patients with CSPH were included in this study. Inclusion criteria: (a) age > 18 years; (b) Child-Pugh class A or B; and (c) no vascular invasion or distant metastasis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded based on the exclusion criteria as follows: (a) patients did not achieve complete ablation after MWA or did not achieve R0 resection for LR; and (b) other significant comorbidities such as COPD, heart failure or renal failure or a history of other malignancies.
