Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects' families consented to their enrollment in the study and signed an informed consent form; clinical diagnosis of cerebral ischemia or cerebral hemorrhage; age =18 years; stable vital signs; Glasgow Coma Scale score =8; duration of illness =14 days; patients were tracheotomized and wearing a tracheal tube.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unstable vital signs; previous pulmonary disease such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma; poorly controlled hypertension (blood pressure above 180/100 on 3 or more occasions in the last 24 hours); myocardial infarction, angina or acute heart failure in the previous 3 months, history of previous chest trauma; postural hypotension, acute phase of deep vein thrombosis.
