Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists classes I–II; 2. BMI 18-30kg/m2; 3. Aged 65–80 years; 4. Who were scheduled for combined thoracoscopic–laparoscopic three-incision esophagectomy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Allergy to drugs used in the study; 2. Patients taking antipsychotic drugs; 3. Patients with severe heart, hepatic and renal diseases; 4. Individuals for whom esketamine was forbidden such as hypertension without control, increased intracranial pressure, hyperthyroidism and so on; 5. History of mental or psychological diseases, language and communication disorders and barriers; 6. Drug abuse and alcohol abuse; 7. Conversion to thoracotomy; 8. Bleeding after surgery need operation again; 9. Transfer to the intensive care unit.
