Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. L4/5 disc herniation (central/paracentral) ; 2. Unilateral lumbar 5 nerve root compression ; 3. The symptoms and signs were consistent with imaging

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Multi-segmental lumber disc herniation; 2. Types other than L4/5 intervertebral disc herniation (central /paracentral ), such as highly dissociated type, foraminal type, extreme lateral type, etc; 3. Huge protrusion of L4/5 intervertebral disc compresses bilateral L5 nerves; 4. Severe spinal stenosis; 5. Cauda equina syndrome
