Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients were eligible for participation if they were (1) met the Classification Criteria for AD[11], (2) inadequately controlled by medical treatments (topical moisturizers, topical corticosteroids, topical calcineurin inhibitors, oral antihistamines, and others) for more than 2 years, (3) scored at least 8 by the Scoring Atopic Dermatitis Index (SCORAD)[12], which ranges from 0 to 18, with higher scores indicating greater clinical severity of AD), and (4) had a body surface area affected[13] by AD = 10% at the baseline.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if there were (1) with possible contraindications for A-AHT (e.g., coagulation disorders, pregnancy, and seizure disorder) and (2) with difficulty in cooperating with treatment (e.g., paralysis, psychoses, or other severe psychological problems as per the judgment of a study investigator).
