Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Older patients aged 65 years or older with hip fractures of the femoral neck, femoral rotor, intertrochanteric process or within 5 cm below the femoral rotor; elective surgical treatment of the fracture treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Complicated with multiple systemic injuries; contraindications to anaesthesia or surgery; inability to communicate effectively preoperatively due to coma, various psychiatric disorders, dementia, etc.; multiple surgeries during hospitalization co-morbid colorectal cancer or related disease; co-morbid bowel obstruction; antibiotic use within 1 week prior to admission; participation in other clinical trials within the last 3 months
