Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Case group: 1. Cases had histologically confirmed colon cancer; 2. The patients were all greater than 18 years of age and were recruited without regard to sex; 3. All patients agreed to participate in this study and signed written informed consent. Healthy comparison group: 1. Subjects had no history of cancer, and they did not have acute disease diagnosis within 3 months or receive any therapy; 2. The patients were all greater than 18 years of age and were recruited without regard to sex; 3. All patients agreed to participate in this study and signed written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The clinical diagnosis was of familial adenomatous polyposis or hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer; 2. Patients with a history of other malignancy; 3. Subjects had comorbid illnesses such as respiratory infection, oral Diseases, cirrhosis, chronic renal insufficiency, bowel obstruction, oesophagus diverticulosis, hyperglycemic hyperosmolar non- ketotic syndrome and diabetic ketoacidosis; 4. Subjects have used antibiotics in the last month; 5. subjects were drug users or had a bad taste in the mouth; 6. subjects were severe mental disorders (e.g., perceived barriers or barriers in the mind)
