Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The diagnosis of liver cirrhosis is evaluated according to the diagnostic criteria in liver cirrhosis diagnosis and treatment guidelines. 2. The diagnosis of gastroesophageal varices was based on endoscopic fndings when the bleeding was stabilized. Endoscopic fndings of esophageal varices were evaluated according to the grading system.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age less than 18 years; 2. Patients with liver cancer or other malignant tumors; 3. Patients with severe diseases of vital organs such as heart, lung, kidney, brain and blood affect their survival; 4. Lost to follow up and incomplete data.lutw
