Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Onset of illness within 28 days after birth; 2. Children diagnosed with neonatal bacterial meningitis in accordance with the 5th edition of practical neonatology; 3. Complete the initial head MRI examination within 48 hours after admission, repeat the head MRI before discharge, repeat the head MRI at 3 months after birth and improve the growth and development score, and the clinical data are complete; (Normal temperature is required for complete head MRI.); 4. The family signs an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe brain developmental malformations; 2. Children who die or abandon treatment during follow-up; 3. Critical infants with unstable vital signs who cannot tolerate head MRI examination; 4. Children diagnosed in external hospitals and treated for them; 5. Grade II or above intracranial hemorrhage.
