Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (a) meeting the DSM-5 criteria for major depression; (b) between the ages of 12 and 18; (c) a score of = 8 and less than 24 on the HAMD-17 scale; and (d) providing written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (a) acute or severe risk of suicide; (b) comorbidity with other mental illnesses and inability to cooperate with treatment within the last 6 months; (c) comorbidity with other serious physical illnesses; (d) a history of significant neurological disorders, including epilepsy or severe motion sickness/ nausea; (e) having participated in other relevant clinical studies; and (f)contraindications to fNIRS.
