Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults diagnosed with severe illness (meeting any of the following criteria): (1) Shortness of breath, RR >= 30 times/min; (2) In the resting state, oxygen saturation of finger is less than 93% when sucking air; (3) Arterial partial oxygen pressure (PaO2)/oxygen absorption concentration (FiO2) 50% within 24 ~ 48 h. 2. High-risk groups who are prone to progression to severe disease after COVID-19 infection (meeting any of the following criteria): (1) Aged >= 60 years old, the upper limit is 95 years old without underlying diseases, 60 to 90 years old with underlying diseases; (2) Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (including hypertension), chronic lung diseases, diabetes, chronic liver and kidney diseases, tumors, hematologic malignancies, hemodialysis and other basic diseases; (3) Immune deficiency; (4) Obesity (BMI >= 30); (5) Heavy smokers; (6) Those who have not fully or intensively received COVID-19 vaccine.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients at risk of airway obstruction or even asphyxia; 2. Patients with respiratory failure caused by cardiogenic pulmonary edema; 3. Patients with ventral body surface injuries or wounds affecting the implementation of prone position; 4. Patients with unstable fractures of cervical vertebra and spine, requiring fixation; 5. Patients with glaucoma or other conditions of sharp increase in intraocular pressure; 6. Patients with intracranial hypertension caused by craniocerebral injury; 7. Patients with obvious high risk of pulmonary embolism; 8. Patients with acute hemorrhagic disease; 9. Severe oxygenation disorder, PaO2/FiO2 40 times/min; 11. Continuous and accurate monitoring of transdermal oxygen saturation is not possible; 12. Hemodynamic instability requires vasoactive agents (systolic blood pressure 7.36); 18. Recent abdominal trauma or surgical operation or severe intra-abdominal hypertension; 19. New deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs.
