Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18 to 75 years; 2. Patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis; 3. Patients with refractory hydrothorax/ascites or esophageal and gastric varices bleeding, who are going to receive selective TIPS.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous TIPS or surgical shunt; 2. Uncontrolled or stabilized for less than one week liver cirrhosis complications such as gastrointestinal bleeding, spontaneous peritonitis, hepatorenal syndrome and hepetopulmonary syndrome; 3. Dysfunction of organs including heart, lung, kidney and brain; 4. Uncorrectable blindness, amblyopia or ametropia; 5. Extremely low cultural degree, unable to read or write simple words; 6. From high altitude area (higher than 2500 meters above the sea level); 7. Pregnant and lactating women; 8. Child-Pugh score is greater than 12, aminopherase exceeds five times higher than the normal upper limit; 9. Liver cancer and other malignant tumors beyond Milan criteria.
