Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria for ischemic stroke and dysphagia; (2) Course of ischemic stroke between 1 to 6 months; (3) The Water Swallowing Test Scale ranged from 3-5; (4) Age between 40 and 80 years; (5) Chinese native speaker; (6) Right-handed according to the Edinburgh Handedness Inventory (EHI); (7) Vital signs are stable and able to cooperate with the study; (8) Participants or legal representative sign the ICF voluntarily.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Dysphagia caused by another diseases (for example, head and neck cancer, oropharyngeal diseases, and so on); (2) Dysphagia existed prior to the onset of this ischemic stroke; (3) Expected to live for less than three months; (4) With medullary injury; (5) Suffering from cerebral hemorrhage, brain tumor, and another diseases resulting in abnormal brain MRI structure; (6) Have contraindications to MRI scans, such as implanted metal, cochlear implants, or claustrophobia; (7) Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) scores =50 or Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores =50; (8) Received acupuncture within the last one week.
