Interventions

Control group:Maintain usual eating or exercise habits without any other intervention for losing weight
Time-restricted feeding group:To select an 8-h eating window between 11 am and 8 pm.
Exercise group:Walk or run three times per week at a moderate-intensity (55–70% of their HRmax) for 40 min
Time-restricted feeding + exercise group:To select an 8-h eating window between 11 am and 8 pm. And walk or run three times per week at a moderate-intensity (55–70% of their HRmax) for 40 min.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Chinese men aged between 18 and 55; 2. Centripetal obesity: BMI >= 25.0 kg/m2 and waist circumference > 90 cm; 3. The baseline eating time is >= 14 hours per day; 4. Inactivity and high sedentary: = 8 hours/day.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Currently have or known history of cardiovascular disease or diabetes; 2. Long-term drinking and smoking; 3. Illness (arthritis) or injury that affects gait and/or limits the ability to walk on a treadmill; 4. Those who are currently participating in a weight loss or weight management program; 5. Use of treatments or medications that may affect their appetite or metabolism.
