Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ICU patients aged >=18 years; 2. The clinical supervisor determines the presence of spontaneous peritonitis, secondary peritonitis, type III peritonitis, or abdominal abscess; 3. Peritoneal drainage fluid can be obtained through intraoperative drainage tube placement or peritoneal puncture fluid can be obtained directly; 4. IAC is high-risk. IAC high risk is defined as having any of the following: (1) Digestive tract perforation (onset > 24 hours without treatment or recurrence); (2) Repeated abdominal surgery (>=2 times within 30 days); (3) Suspected or confirmed anastomotic fistula after surgery; (4) Multi-site candida colonization (>=2 sites); (5) Acute severe necrotizing pancreatitis; (6) Septic shock (>=1 hour on vasoactive drugs); (7) Antibiotics were used for >=7 days prior to ICU admission.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The patient or his authorized client refuses to sign the informed consent; 2. Patients with granulocytosis; 3. HIV infection; 4. The drainage tube is placed for more than 24 hours; 5. The study has been included in this admission cycle; 6. Complete case data are not available.
