Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) 18-65 years old; (2) Patients meeting the diagnostic criteria developed according to western medicine; ?History: history of abdominal surgery or abdominal inflammation; ? Symptoms: abdominal pain, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, and anal cessation of exhaustion and defecation; ? Signs: findings from physical examination suggested varying degrees of abdominal distension or the presence of peristaltic waves and bowel patterns; the abdominal wall was soft with or without mild pressure pain. Abdominal percussion led to tympany with high pitched metallic bowel sounds or a sound similar to that produced when air is blown over water; ? Auxiliary examinations: (i) observation of the abdominal X-ray plain film suggested that gas-fluid planes are visible in some intestinal cavities of the abdominal cavity; (ii) abdominal ultrasound showed distension in the intestinal cavity, dilatation of the intestinal canal, and an increase in the intestinal contents; (iii) in some cases, it is necessary to combine auxiliary examinations with clinical symptoms to facilitate the diagnosis, especially the X-ray standing abdominal plain film. CT examination is necessary according to the clinical needs in some cases.(3) Patients meeting the diagnostic criteria developed according to Chinese medicine;? primary symptoms: abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, abdominal distension, and anal exhaustion and defecation; ? secondary symptoms: dry mouth, bitter mouth, polydipsia, short and red urine, red tongue with yellow coating, slippery pulse, and hyperactive bowel sounds. (4) Provision of a signed informed consent form and willingness for testing in patients.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) patients with non-adherent intestinal obstruction; (2)Long term oral administration of western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine for promoting gastrointestinal motility; (3) patients with severe cardiac, hepatic, and renal diseases, hematological diseases, and coagulation disorders; (4) pregnant and lactating women; (5) Ineffective conservative medical treatment, or the condition worsens and needs to be converted to surgical treatment.
