Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Experimental group. (i) All patients with persistent atrial fibrillation to be treated with catheter ablation ?No contraindication to cardiac electrophysiological examination and radiofrequency ablation procedure treatment ?Age between 18 and 80 years old ?Patients with poor results after radiofrequency ablation who require surgical intervention ? Patients with sinus rhythm for other reasons who are to undergo surgical intervention Control group. ? Between the ages of 18-80 years ? Patients with atrial fibrillation other than those with possible access to the left heart system for marking and ablation, e.g. severe vasovagal syncope for left atrial GP ablation, supraventricular tachycardia or ventricular premature involvement of the left bypass, etc. (iii) No contraindications to cardiac electrophysiological investigations and surgical treatment with radiofrequency ablation. (iv) Patients with sinus rhythm for other reasons for surgical open heart surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Experimental group. ? Patients with severe chronic lung disease with surgical risk ? Patients with a history of organic heart disease such as severe congenital heart disease, sequelae of myocardial infarction, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy ? Combined pregnancy ? Contraindication to catheter ablation ? Patients with coexisting rheumatic heart disease ? Patients who are unable to tolerate surgical procedures Control group. ? Patients with a history of atrial fibrillation ? Patients with severe chronic lung disease with surgical risk ? Patients with a history of organic heart disease such as severe congenital heart disease, sequelae of myocardial infarction, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy ? Combined pregnancy ? Contraindication to catheter ablation ? Patients with coexisting rheumatic heart disease ? Patients who cannot tolerate surgical procedures
