Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnostic criteria: patients with primary hypertension comply with the diagnosis of hypertension management guidelines of the International Society of Hypertension in 2020 [28], that is, systolic blood pressure = 140 and/or diastolic blood pressure = 90. Elderly patients with hypertension: Inclusion criteria: ? Subjects had informed consent and volunteered to participate in the study; ? No drugs affecting posture stability (such as sedative hypnotics, gastrointestinal spasmolytic drugs and tricyclic antidepressants); ? Patients with primary hypertension were diagnosed according to the Hypertension Management Guidelines of the International Society of Hypertension in 2020 [28], that is, systolic blood pressure = 140 and/or diastolic blood pressure = 90; ? According to the WHO age classification criteria, the age is = 60 years old. Healthy control group: Inclusion criteria: ? Subjects had informed consent and volunteered to participate in the study; ? No drugs affecting posture stability (such as sedative hypnotics, gastrointestinal spasmolytic drugs and tricyclic antidepressants); ? No history of hypertension; ? According to the WHO age classification standard, the age of healthy young controls is 18-30 years old, and the age of healthy old controls is = 60 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Elderly patients with hypertension: Exclusion criteria: ? Unable to stand alone for 1 minute as required by the experimental paradigm; ? Suffering from other neurological, sensory or muscular diseases (such as diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, vestibular disease, arthritis, orthopedic disease, acute infection, malignant tumor, cerebellar disease, acute cerebrovascular disease, delirium, terminal illness, mental disease, severe visual or hearing impairment); Healthy control group: Exclusion criteria: ? Unable to stand alone for 1 minute as required by the experimental paradigm; ? Suffering from other neurological, sensory or muscular diseases (such as diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, vestibular disease, arthritis, orthopedic disease, acute infection, malignant tumor, cerebellar disease, acute cerebrovascular disease, delirium, terminal illness, mental disease, severe visual or hearing impairment); ? Cognitive impairment (Six Item Screener, SIS)<5 points or inability to communicate normally; ? Previous history of lower limb surgery; ? Pregnant women; ? Other circumstances that the researcher judges are not suitable for inclusion.
