18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age >18 years; met diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes; met diagnostic criteria for diabetic nephropathy; urinary albumin creatinine ratio =30 mg/g or 3 mg/mmol; stable treatment dose of ACEIs/ARBs for at least 2 months or no use for 4 weeks; no other medication affecting urinary protein for 4 weeks (see Appendix 1 for details); female subjects were menopausal, or using surgical contraception, or using contraceptives within 3 months prior to screening and during the study period.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: New York Heart Assignment (NYHA) class III-IV; systolic/diastolic blood pressure >180/110 mmHg; heart valve disease, aortic disease; renal artery stenosis; persistent erythrocyturia and/or urinary tract infection; creatinine clearance <45 mL/min; tumor; autoimmune disease; abnormal liver function; chronic wasting disease; pregnant and lactating women; presence of alcohol or drug abuse; unwillingness to comply with trial arrangements or automatic withdrawal.
