Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: We recruited patients aged from 18 to 65 years who had chosen to undergo unilateral TAET. To be included, patients had to have a body mass index (BMI) of 18-30 kg/m^2 and an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) functional status of I-II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal, pregnant or lactating women, bleeding disorder, infection at the injection site, allergy to local anesthetics, cognitive impairment and difficulty assessing pain, and chronic opioid consumption.
