Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible families include those containing at least one family member who migrated from Mainland China and has been living in Hong Kong for fewer than seven years, who has indicated parent-child relationship issues, daily stress, or difficulties in overall adjustment in Hong Kong. For each eligible family, one parent (either father or mother) and one child (aged 7–15) will be recruited.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Since this study targets new migrant families in general, we will exclude parents or children who have clinical diagnosis of severe mental illness (e.g. psychosis) as they will need more specialized services.
