60 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) aged 60 years or older; 2) ASA ?-?; 3) with a planned surgery of at least 2 hours undergoing a general anesthesia; 4) planned postoperative admission to the surgical ward for at least 3 days; 3) ability to provide written informed consent before participating in the study;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)scheduled for a surgical procedure with cardiopulmonary bypass; 2) history of psychiatric disorders or neurological preconditions; 3) primary school education or below; 4) Mini-Mental State Examination = 24 points; 5)communication issues precluding baseline and postoperative assessments (language impairment, severe visual or hearing impairment); 6) long-term drug or alcohol abuse; 7) local skin damage or skin disorders at the electrode site; 8) significant liver and kidney dysfunction.
