Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Inclusion criteria for Meningioma Group 1)The patients were diagnosed with meningioma by pathological diagnosis after the first surgical treatment; 2)The patients had no history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy before the operation; 3)The patient had complete and necessary clinical information or laboratory data; 4)The patients had no history of inflammatory bowel disease, acute or chronic gastrointestinal disease; 5)The patients were not associated with other severe physical and mental disorders; 6)The patients or his/her guardian/legal representative voluntarily participated with the study and subscribed the Informed Consent Form. 2.Inclusion criteria for Brain Tissue Resection Group 1)All participants were matched for age, sex, and body mass index (BMI) to the meningioma group; 2)The resected brain tissues of the participants were verified to be non-neoplastic by pathological examination, and no primary brain tumor or metastatic tumor was found by imaging examination; 3)All participants were not associated with other severe physical and mental disorders; 4)All participants had no history of inflammatory bowel disease, acute or chronic gastrointestinal disease; 5)The patients or his/her guardian/legal representative voluntarily participated with the study and subscribed the Informed Consent Form. 3.Inclusion criteria for Healthy Control: 1)All participants were matched for age, sex, and body mass index (BMI) to the meningioma group; 2)All participants blood, stool and urine laboratory data were normal, and the brain imageological examination did not find primary and metastatic tumor in brain; 3)All participants had no history of inflammatory bowel disease, acute or chronic gastrointestinal disease; 4)All participants were not associated with other severe physical and mental disorders; 5)All participants or his/her guardian/legal representative voluntarily participated with the study and subscribed the Informed Consent Form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: 1)All participants were not undergoing antibiotics and probiotics treatment within 2 months before the biological specimens were collected; and known active bacterial, fungal, or viral infections; 2)All participants were found severe systemic diseases in this time health check: hypertension(diastolic pressure=100 mmHg or systolic pressure=160 mmHg), cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, rheumatic disease, active period of acute and chronic infectious diseases; 3)All participants were in pregnancy and lactation; 4)All participantshad a history of malignancy 5)All participants had a previous history of gastrointestinal surgery and had intestinal invasive examinations within 3 months.
