Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 8-12 years; 2. Body mass index (BMI) greater than Chinese obesity cutoffs corresponding to 95th percentile of sex-specific and age-specific BMI reference standards; 3. No previous substantial experience in participating in FMSs-related promotion programs; 4. Absence of severe physical, mental and cognitive disorders (e.g., physical disability, low self-esteem, depression, verbal and physical aggression) that may prevent participation in the PA program and interrupt the outcome evaluation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects who have participated in structured exercise courses in the past six months; 2. Clear diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, psychiatric disorders and cognitive dysfunction of the subjects.
