Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for the alcohol dependence group: (I) meeting the International Classification of diseases-10 (ICD-10) diagnostic criteria for alcohol dependence; (II) age = 18 years; (III) Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test(MAST) = 5. Inclusion criteria for the non-alcohol dependence group: (I) did not meet the ICD-10 diagnostic criteria for alcohol dependence; (II) age = 18 years; (III) MAST < 5 (the first item must be "yes").
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (I) alcohol withdrawal patients with delirium tremens and psychotic symptoms who are unable to cooperate with cognitive function tests; (II) current or previous other psychoactive substance use disorders (except smoking); (III) diseases that may affect cognitive function (e.g. severe Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, etc.); (IV) autoimmune diseases; (V) recent infections history; (VI) severe heart, lung, liver and kidney diseases and tumours; (VII) subjects and/or family members who do not consent.
