Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age >18 years, male or female. (2) Patients with ABI due to craniocerebral injury, stroke, etc. and with a GCS = 8. (3) Mechanical ventilation via oral or nasal tracheal intubation or tracheotomy. (4) Written informed consent from relatives was obtained.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Age = 18 years. (2) Pregnant women. (3) Expected ICU stay <48 hours. (4) Severe hemodynamic instability. (5) Unstable fractures. (6) Uncontrolled epilepsy. (7) Unstable intracranial hemorrhage. (8) Postoperative facial trauma. (9) Inability to tolerate a prone position. (10) ABI due to brain tumor, ischemic-hypoxic encephalopathy (11) chronic requiring mechanical ventilation
