Schizophrenia spectrum disorders

Interventions

Control group:A total of 12 sessions of sham rTMS were provided for twice per week for 6 weeks
Intervention group 1:A total of 12 sessions of high frequency rTMS were provided for twice per week for 6 weeks
Intervention group 2:A total of 30 sessions of high frequency rTMS were provided for 5 times per week for 6 weeks

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18-50 years; 2. Patients with a diagnosis of schizophrenia spectrum disorder according to the criteria set out in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fifth Edition (DSM-V); 3. Without taking any antipsychotic or recreational drugs for at least 3 months before enrollment; 4. Body mass index between 18.5 and 25 kg/m2; 5. All patients volunteer to participate this clinical trail, and provide written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Any contraindication for rTMS or MRI, e.g. past history of epilepsy, artificial cochlea, pacemake and any body metallic implants,claustrophobia; 2. Comorbid metabolic disease, e.g. diabetes, uarthritis; 3. Cormorbid severe liver or renal dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, or gastrointestinal disease; 4. Pregnant or lactating; 5. Marked limitations in mobility, e.g. arthritis, severe pulmonary disease; 6. Current use of metformin, topiramate, sibutramine, betahistine, and any weight-loss drugs; 7. History of substance dependence,alcohol abuse or eating disorders; 8. Concomitant treatment with any other antipsychotic or antideprssant drugs that affect weight; 9. Those who did not cooperate with the stimulation, e.g. aggression; 10. Previous systemic treatment with rTMS.
