Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Primary squamous cell carcinoma was pathologically diagnosed, and the lesions were located in the mouth, oropharynx, larynx, and hypopharynx; 2. Did not receive any form of treatment before surgery; 3. Complete clinicopathological data were included; 4. Aged over 18 years, patients or authorized persons should provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of head and neck cancer within 5 years; 2. Distant metastatic disease; 3. Aggressive malignancies (excluding non-melanoma skin cancers) within 5 years; 4. Inability or unwillingness to complete quality of life questionnaires.
