Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion criteria for type 2 diabetes mellitus: (1) Aged 25-70 years; (2) A clear diagnosis of type 2 diabetes; (3) 6.5%<HbA1c<10%. 2. Inclusion criteria of health control: Healthy individuals matched with the type 2 diabetes group in age, sex, place of origin, and BMI.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with acute or chronic inflammatory or infectious diseases, or who receive antibiotics, probiotics, probiotics, or any other medication that may affect the intestinal microbiota in the first 3 months of inclusion; 2. Patients with persistent vomiting or suspected gastrointestinal obstruction; 3. Gastrectomy, gastric fundus folding, colostomy, and other digestive system surgeries; 4. Use of antibiotics in the past 3 months for a duration of 3 days or more; 5. Patients with moderate or severe renal impairment (blood creatinine > 2mg/dL or 177mmol/L), or abnormal liver function (ALT> twice the upper limit of average value); Moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Patients with severe hypertension and cerebrovascular accidents; 6. Patients with severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, liver, kidney, and hematopoietic diseases; 7. Serious organic diseases, such as cancer, coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, and stroke; 8. Suffering from infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and AIDS; 9. Excessive drinking (drinking more than 5 times a week, average 2 pairs of white wine or half a jin of yellow rice wine or more than 5 bottles of beer each time); 10. In the past three months, patients receiving medical treatment for the following diseases: cholecystitis, gastrointestinal ulcer, urinary tract infection, acute pyelonephritis, cystitis, hyperthyroidism, and other thyroid abnormalities; 11. Anemia: hemoglobin <10g/ dL; 12. Patients with physical disabilities or other reasons who are unable to take care of themselves, cannot clearly recall or answer questions, or have apparent dyskinesia; 13. Cannot guarantee sufficient time to participate in the project.
