Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with esophageal diseases: (1) patients with malignant tumors, such as squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, neuroendocrine carcinoma, and carcinosarcoma (with no limitation on stages and grades); (2) patients with benign diseases, such as esophageal leiomyoma and esophagitis; and healthy controls. 2. No other primary tumors were found by ultrasound, CT, MRI or PET-CT; 3. Male or female subjects with no age requirement; 4. Serum samples were collected before clinical treatment, and the sample volume was not less than 600 uL; 5. Complete medical records.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Unclear diagnosis; 2. The subjects had received chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy or surgical treatment before sample collection; 3. The sample quality does not meet the operation requirements (such as improper sample collection, improper storage, insufficient sample size, sample leakage, sample contamination, et al); 4. Missing medical records.
