Early TRE:

Late TRE:TRE for 24 weeks and CR for 24 weeks

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) 18-65 years old; (2) adults with overweight or obesity who had lost at least 5% of their initial body weight with a 6-month weight loss intervention (not with TRE).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were as follows: (1) Patients who had been treated with TRE in 12 months. (2) Patients with acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events or myocardial infarction in the past 12 months; (3) Patients had renal disease (serum creatinine > upper limit of normal 1.2×ULN), or abnormal liver enzymes (alanine transaminase (ALT) >=2.5×ULN); (4) Patients who used weight-loss medications or underwent previous bariatric surgery; (5) Patients with a history of type 1 or 2 diabetes, malignant hypertension, hyperthyroidism or increased cortisol levels; (6) Patients who were pregnant or lactating; (7) Patients with a history of cancer; (8) Patients with alcohol or drug dependence; (9) those who are unable to cooperate with others such as mental illness.
