Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients will be included in the study if they meet all the following criteria :(1) age=18 years old; (2) patients admitted to the intensive care unit or critically ill patients informed in writing; (3) enteral nutrition support therapy will begin within 24 hours after enrollment; (4) tolerant to bedside gastrointestinal ultrasound examination; (5) patients who sign the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with any of the following conditions will be excluded :(1) age <18 years old;(2) patients who have not been notified of critical illness;(3) no need to receive enteral nutrition support treatment or contraindications of enteral nutrition exist;(4) less than 48-hour expected hospital stay after enrollment;(5) patients intolerant to bedside gastrointestinal ultrasound examination;(6) patients with pregnancy;(7) patients who refuse to sign the informed consent
