Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: PFFs only around a primary stem in hip arthroplasty.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. PFFs after hip arthroplasty revision; 2. PFFs after total knee arthroplasty (TKA); 3. Any pathological PFFs, such as tumor diseases; 4. Intraoperative PFFs and acute or subacute PFFs after hip replacement (within 3 months); 5. Fracture of the femur around implants other than arthroplasty.

Comorbidities (diabetes, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid disease, osteoporosis);Prodromal symptoms (groin or thigh pain);Fracture characteristics (generalized cortical thickening of the femoral diaphysis, bilateral femoral diaphysis affected with fractures or radiographic abnormalities, incomplete fractures);Drug history (the history and duration of the bisphosphonates use and the history of glucocorticoids or proton-pump inhibitors use);Prognosis (duration of fracture healing and complications);the surgical treatment of APFFs;
