Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years; 2. Patients with Idiopathic Parkinson's disease diagnosed by a neurologist in accordance with the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) clinical diagnostic criteria for PD; 3. Signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Various secondary parkinsonism or parkinsonism?plus?syndrome; 2. Various brain surgeries including deep brain stimulation (DBS) 3. other neurologic illness or injury (ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy); 4. Other serious and disabling non-neurological diseases such as recent trauma, acute and chronic inflammation, chronic liver disease, malignancy, etc; 5. Atypical dietary habits (e.g. vegetarian diet) or diseases causing malabsorption; 6. Diseases related to abnormal iron metabolism: iron deficiency anemia, hereditary hemochromatosis, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, Friedreich's ataxia, abnormal bone mineralization, etc; 7. Hyperuricemia; 8. Dementia: MMSE < 26; 9. Incomplete clinical data, poor compliance, no expectation of long-term follow-up, and refused to participate in the study.
