Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Preliminary diagnosis of acute pancreatitis (AP), meeting at least 2 of the following 3 criteria: (1) Serum amylase/pancreatic amylase and/or lipase levels are at least 3 times the upper limit of normal; (2) Acute abdominal pain suggestive of acute pancreatitis, with or without radiating back pain; (3) Acute pancreatitis manifestations supported by imaging evidence (ultrasound/CT/MRI); 2. Age 18-75 years old; 3. Admitted to hospital within 72 hours of abdominal pain symptoms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Recurrent or chronic pancreatitis; 2. Previous history of diabetes or hypoglycemic drug treatment; 3. Abnormal glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) during hospitalization; 4. Other pancreatic injuries, including trauma, pancreatectomy, benign and malignant pancreatic tumors, cystic fibrosis, hemochromatosis, fibrocalcific pancreatic disease or rare genetic diseases; 5. Severe heart, liver, kidney insufficiency or malignant tumor; 6. History of immune system diseases or hormone medication; 7. Pregnancy and lactation; 8. Unable to cooperate with follow-up due to mental illness or other reasons.
