Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elderly patients (age >65 years old, estimated operation time >2h, ASA grade?-?) undergoing elective major abdominal surgery (radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer, radical resection for colon cancer, hepatectomy, etc.) in our hospital.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA grade > ?; 2. Preoperative MMSE score <= 27; 3. A history of mental illness and surgery for severe head trauma; 4. Have a history of taking sedative-hypnotic drugs or drug abuse; 5. Visual or auditory impairment; 6. Patients who cannot cooperate with delirium assessment; 7. Preoperative diagnosis of insomnia or cognitive decline was made.
