Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Topic 1: Review the natural age of 9-14 years old, teeth age of IIIB-IIIC, and adolescents with skeletal class II malocclusion from 2015 to now, who have used transparent appliances for individualized functional correction. Inclusion criteria: 1. The peak period of puberty is accompanied by severe skeletal type II; 2. No orthodontic history; 3. The tooth age is IIIB-IIIC; 4. ANB > 4 before treatment; 5. Natural age 9-14. Topic 2: Paired study. From January 2023 to December 2024, adults with skeletal class II malocclusion used transparent appliances for individualized functional correction. Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients with severe skeletal type II; 2. No orthodontic history; 3. ANB > 4 before treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Topic 1: Exclusion criteria: 1. Accompanied with serious system diseases; 2. Mental disorders; 3. Unable to cooperate with treatment due to learning and other reasons; 4. Unable to take care of themselves and maintain oral hygiene; 5. Patients unable to return on schedule. Topic 2: Exclusion criteria: 1. Accompanied with serious system diseases. 2. Mental disorders. 3. Unable to cooperate with treatment due to learning and other reasons. 4. Unable to take care of themselves and maintain oral hygiene. 5. Patients unable to return on schedule.
